International Journal of Electrical, Electronics & Technology Engineering (IJEETE)

IJEETE is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and professionalism in research and publication. All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow this ethics policy to ensure the credibility of the scientific record.


1. Originality and Plagiarism

  • Manuscripts must present original work and should not have been published elsewhere in any form.

  • Plagiarism, duplication, or fabrication of data is strictly prohibited.

  • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • Acceptable similarity index: less than 15% overall, with no single source above 5%.


2. Authorship and Contribution

  • Authorship is limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the study.

  • The Corresponding Author assumes responsibility for communicating with the editorial office and ensuring all authors approve the final version.

  • Guest, gift, or ghost authorship is not permitted.

  • Contributors not qualifying as authors should be acknowledged appropriately.


3. Conflicts of Interest

  • Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence or appear to influence the research outcomes.

  • Reviewers and editors must also declare any conflicts before handling a manuscript.


4. Redundant and Duplicate Publication

  • Submitting the same work to multiple journals or re-publishing identical or highly similar research is considered unethical.

  • Suspected redundant submissions will be handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.


5. Data Integrity and Transparency

  • Authors must ensure accuracy and honesty in data reporting.

  • Manipulation of images, graphs, or results to mislead is unacceptable.

  • Authors should retain raw data and be prepared to provide it if requested during peer review.


6. Citation Practices

  • References should be accurate, relevant, and not excessive.

  • Self-citation should be limited and justified.

  • Citation manipulation (adding irrelevant citations to boost metrics) is unethical.


7. Ethical Research with Humans and Animals

  • Human Studies: Authors must confirm compliance with ethical standards of institutional review boards and the Helsinki Declaration (1975, revised 2000). Informed consent must be obtained.

  • Animal Studies: Research must follow institutional, national, or international guidelines (e.g., National Research Council’s Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals).


8. Editorial and Peer Review Ethics

  • Reviewers must provide fair, objective, and timely feedback while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Editors must make unbiased decisions, free from personal or professional conflicts of interest.

  • All parties must respect confidentiality and not use unpublished data for personal benefit.


9. Handling Misconduct

  • Any suspected case of plagiarism, fabrication, authorship violation, or unethical research will be investigated by the editorial board.

  • Sanctions may include rejection, retraction, or blacklisting of authors for future submissions.
